Support the BCHC Auxiliary
We want to thank you for your past support and membership to the Buchanan County Health Center Auxiliary. Thanks to you, among its many accomplishments, our 225 member BCHC Auxiliary was able to:
- Assist with an interior design update to 18 patient rooms at the hospital;
- Purchase the nationally recognized Safe Sitter Babysitting Curriculum. Wellness staff have already equipped more than 40 teens and pre-teens with information about how to be effective caregivers to younger children. A third Babysitting Clinic will be held in December. This gift will be utilized for many years to come;
- Help more than 250 Buchanan County second graders to attend Farm Safety Day at Heartland Acres;
- Award six $1,000 scholarships to local students pursuing health care careers;
Auxiliary members also donated thousands of hours running the gift shop, organizing blood drives, helping with flu shot clinics, health fairs and open house events, assisting patients at the Radiology reception desk, shopping with long term care residents as well as lending a hand with other long term care activities.
Would you consider supporting the BCHC Auxiliary in 2015? Our current membership drive will end August 8th. The cost of dues in $10 each and can be mailed to:
