Prepare Yourself for the Challenges of Babysitting

Babysitting is more than a way to earn money. When you are asked by a neighbor, friend or relative to watch their child, you are being given a job that carries a big responsibility.

As a babysitter, parents trust you with their child’s life. Your main responsibility is to care for a child’s needs and keep the child safe. You can prepare yourself for these challenges by completing our babysitting course.

  • Be a good guest
  • As they grow: Ages and stages
  • Before saying “yes” to a job
  • When a stranger calls
  • House rules and routines
  • Fire
  • Diapering
  • Feeding for infant/toddlers
  • Burping a baby
  • Crying
  • Preparing for bed
  • Behavior problems/discipline
  • First aid and CPR

Limited to the first 20 registered students. Boys and girls ages 11-14 are welcome to participate.
