BCHC Celebrates National Volunteer Month
April is National Volunteer Month. The heartbeat of a community, volunteers can help in a variety of ways; selling food at a concession stand, cleaning a city park, coaching little league, or contributing their time and talents to a community hospital, such as Buchanan County Health Center. With over 10,000 hours logged throughout the year of 2014, volunteers at BCHC have participated in a wide variety of activities and efforts including volunteering for Long-Term Care events, assisting with the Auxiliary Gift Shop, greeting patients at the Lab & Radiology department, or planting flowers each spring to beautify the grounds of BCHC to name a few.
