BCHC Expands Cardiology Specialty Clinic Welcomes Mercy Cardiologists
Buchanan County Health Center (BCHC) is pleased to announce the expansion of local cardiology services with the addition of Ryan Hollenbeck, MD, FACC, FSCAI, and Hillary Behn, ARNP, from Mercy Cedar Rapids to the BCHC Cardiology Specialty Clinic.
Dr. Hollenbeck and Hillary Behn, ARNP, will see patients at the BCHC Cardiology Specialty Clinic on the fourth Friday of each month. Dr. Hollenbeck is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and medical director of Mercy’s cardiology program. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is board certified in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Hillary Behn, ARNP, is a nurse practitioner with Mercy Cardiology and has been caring for cardiology patients since 2017. She is trained in adult cardiology and family practice and is passionate about preventive cardiology, women’s cardiovascular health, and the treatment of coronary artery disease. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Mercy University and her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain College of Nursing. In 2023, she was honored with Mercy’s Outstanding Advanced Practice Provider Award.
The addition of Dr. Hollenbeck and Hillary Behn, ARNP, reflects BCHC’s commitment to providing quality, comprehensive care close to home. They join more than 30 visiting specialists representing 22 specialty services available through BCHC. Cardiology services are also provided at BCHC by visiting specialists from Cedar Valley Cardiology.
