BCHC & Lexington Estate Limiting Number of Patient Visitors
Due to the large number of respiratory viruses circulating in the community and the new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iowa, BCHC is now imposing a visitor restriction until further notice. While there are no known cases of the novel coronavirus in Buchanan County, we want to take preventative measures to ensure the safety of those within our care. Effective immediately visitation for each patient will be limited to two, healthy adults over the age of 18. All visitors must be in good health and not exhibiting signs of illness such as fever, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, etc. We are also requesting that family and friends avoid visiting Lexington Estate until further notice. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted to visit at this time. We thank you for your understanding of our efforts to ensure safe and excellent care for those in our community!
If you have reason to suspect you are ill with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and do not need emergency medical care, please call your provider to be properly screened prior to presenting onsite. If you seek emergency care, please inform staff of symptoms prior to arrival.
