BCHC Partners with Care for Yourself Program to Support Women’s Health & Early Cancer Detection
Buchanan County Health Center (BCHC) is proud to partner with the Care for Yourself Program, a statewide initiative that provides free or low-cost breast and cervical cancer screenings to eligible Iowans.
Through this continued partnership, BCHC joins the effort to promote early detection and prevention of breast and cervical cancers by helping connect women to essential screening services such as clinical breast exams, mammograms, Pap tests, and HPV testing regardless of their ability to pay.
The Care for Yourself Program serves individuals between 21 and 64 years of age who meet certain income guidelines and are uninsured or underinsured. For those who may not qualify, program coordinators can offer referrals and recommendations for other local or state resources to ensure access to care.
