BCHC raises over $3,300 for Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Buchanan County Health Center (BCHC) recently participated in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo on September 30th. With 52 teams participating in the East Central Iowa Chapter, BCHC’s team raised over $3,300 to contribute to the final total of $52,829.
“This is the 5th year BCHC has participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Over the five year period, we have raised over $14,000 through various fundraising initiatives year-round. Some of these initiatives include our casual days, where employees donate $5 to wear blue jeans on the second Friday of each month, vendor fairs, raffles, and more, commented fundraising chair, Dianne Hepke. We are the caregivers for those affected by Alzheimer’s and we look forward to the day that there is a cure for this disease.”
