BCHC Welcomes Lori Hoffmann
Buchanan County Health Center is pleased to welcome Lori Hoffmann as the Human Resources Director. Hoffmann comes to BCHC with a vast amount of education and experience in the field of human resources and training. Earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Northern Iowa, Lori is currently completing a master’s program in Organizational Communication.
“I am very happy to be at BCHC. I have witnessed a strong culture of dedicated employees who show great pride in displaying the organization’s standards of behavior, commented Hoffmann. I feel very welcomed and look forward to supporting the employees and their needs.”
Throughout her career in human resources and training, Lori has held leadership positions at Hawkeye Community College, Martin Brothers Distributing, UNI, and most recently, Cedar Falls Utilities. Serving her community, Hoffmann has contributed her talents to the Service Speaks Project, Cedar Valley Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, and United Way campaign. Currently, Lori serves on the Cedar Valley Blue Zone leadership team, the External Advisory Board for the University of Iowa Healthier Workforce Center, and serves as Past State Council Director for the Iowa Society for Human Resources (SHRM).
“Lori brings a positive and energetic approach to her role at BCHC. I am especially excited about her background in leadership and staff training as this will be a large focus of her position moving forward,” commented Steve Slessor, CEO.
Lori resides with her husband, Shamus, and two daughters, Sydney and Sophia.
