
BCHC Welcomes Primary Care Physician, Stephanie McMillan, DO, to Begin Practice in Fall 2027
Buchanan County Health Center (BCHC) is proud to announce the upcoming addition of Stephanie McMillan, DO, to its team of trusted primary care providers at Medical Associates of BCHC. Dr. McMillan is expected to begin her practice in the fall of 2027 upon completion of her residency.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Stephanie into the BCHC family,” said Wade Weis, CEO of BCHC. “She is a truly talented individual who already knows our community well and is passionately dedicated to delivering outstanding healthcare and making a meaningful difference in the health of our citizens.”
A native of Independence, Dr. McMillan completed her undergraduate studies at Iowa State University and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. She is currently completing her residency in Family Medicine at MercyOne Genesis in Davenport.
With special interests in diabetes care and mental health, Dr. McMillan is looking forward to returning to her hometown and contributing to the BCHC team. During her medical education, she completed a rotation at BCHC and was inspired by the collaborative environment and commitment to continuous improvement in patient care and organizational growth.
In her free time, Dr. McMillan enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
