Description
For patients who require frequent infusions of medications, this outpatient service provides a comfortable atmosphere for infusion patients requiring close observation and monitoring of medications, blood levels and other conditions with one-on-one nursing.
Services Provided
- Peripherally-inserted central catheters (PICC lines) maintenance
- Administration of blood products
- Administration of IV iron products, including Venofer and Feraheme
- IV fluid administration for hydration
- Immunoglobin administration
- Phlebotommy/lab specimens
- IV medications and antibiotic administration
- Administration and patient teaching of IM and Sub Q injections including:
- Lovenox, Prolia, Neulasta, Neupogen, B-12 Allergy shots, Avonex, and Aranesp
- Vascular access device maintenance – MediPort, central lines
- Port access and maintenance
- Dressing changes
