Do I have to schedule my general x-rays?
No, you can just check in at registration and come to radiology.
How long does a bone density test take?
Approximately 10 minutes.
Can another physician get a copy of my test?
Yes, we can easily add another physician and fax the results to the additional destination.
When will my results appear on Patient Portal?
Please allow 48 hours for your provider to contact you about your results. Results will be posted on your Patient Portal account after your provider contacts you.
When and how will I get results from my test?
When your exam is complete and the radiologist has read your exam, the results are faxed to the ordering doctor. The doctor who ordered your exam should call you within a few days. Our radiologist department is unable to give you the results.
Is there a radiologist at BCHC?
The radiologist is at the hospital two days a week to perform special cases.
Who will read my radiology exams?
Radiology Consultants of Iowa (RCI), located in Cedar Rapids, is one of the top 100 Radiology Groups in the United States. RCI reads BCHC digital radiology exams. Those exams are sent to our radiologists electronically with minimal delay, providing you with fast, exceptional, professional care.
