Scratch Curbside to Visit BCHC – A Walk to End Alzheimer’s Fundraiser
Scratch Cupcakery’s Curbside will be in Independence on Thursday, August 20th in the south parking lot at Buchanan County Health Center. Beginning at approximately 11:00 a.m., the public is cordially invited to visit the campus of BCHC and purchase these sweet treats.
“If you have never tried a Scratch Cupcake, you are in for a real treat, explained Dianne Hepke, Lexington Estate Activity Coordinator and captain of the BCHC Alzheimer’s Walk Team. These are big, beautiful gourmet cupcakes with names like ‘Chocolate Turtle,’ ‘Raspberry Love,’ and ‘Oh Happy Day.’”
The BCHC Walk to End Alzheimer’s Team will be selling raffle tickets for an extra-long, twin-sized quilt, created by artist Deb Hinde and Billie Wienhold. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
In 2014, the team raised over $2,000. With anticipations to meet or exceed this amount in 2015, funds will be donated to the 2015 Cedar Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 26th, at the RiverLoop Amphitheatre in Waterloo.
