BCHC Board of Trustees Welcomes New Board Member, Cindy Horn
On January 1st, the Buchanan County Health Center Board of Trustees welcomed newly appointed member, Cindy Horn, to the volunteer leadership board. The BCHC Board of Trustees provide direction and counsel to the leaders of BCHC.
“Cindy is a strong addition to the Buchanan County Health Center Board of Trustees,” said Board Chairman Rob Robinson. “She brings decades of clinical expertise and health industry knowledge to the board. As a former long-term BCHC employee and experienced community volunteer and leader, Cindy offers valuable insight. I look forward to serving alongside her.”
Horn is a retired BCHC nurse with more than 50 years of service, including 25 years at BCHC. She began her career as an LPN in 1974 and later became an RN in the early 1990s. Her experience spans pediatrics, long-term care, hospital nursing, public health, diabetes education, and emergency management and preparedness.
In retirement, Cindy enjoys spending time with her five children and nine grandchildren, as well as gardening, sewing, and volunteering.
“I retired from BCHC after working for 25 years, and during that time, I found that BCHC’s focus was, and continues to be, oriented towards the comprehensive health needs of our community,” commented Horn. “I consider being appointed to the BCHC Board of Trustees an honor and a privilege to continue to serve that vision.”
Cindy joins fellow board members Rob Robinson, Denny Donlea, Anne McMillan, and Donnie Bloes. To learn more about BCHC and its leadership team, visit BCHealth.org or follow Buchanan County Health Center on Facebook for the latest news and updates.
