Beat the Winter Blues with Fighterbody Fitness at BCHC
(Independence, IA)– During the winter months, it can be tough to find the motivation to work out and stay fit. Between holiday parties, social gatherings, and the comfort food that winter brings, extra and unwanted pounds can easily add up. Over 50 individuals are taking control of winter weight gain and are nearing the end of what is an eight week extreme fitness program, Fighterbody Fitness, at Buchanan County Health Center.
In December, BCHC announced the addition of Fighterbody Fitness to the Wellness Center and its services. Fighterbody Fitness classes are high-energy, hour long sessions where participants are kept engaged with the variety of many different focuses such as strength training, moderate to high intensity cardio, plyometric based exercising, and kickboxing techniques. Fighterbody Fitness is a unique program that is designed to keep your body in a constant state of confusion, putting you on the fast track to better health in 2015 with overall results in weight loss, lean muscle definition, and toning. Fighterbody is designed to provide real results, regardless of age, gender, or fitness ability of a participant.
“I feel better and I can see a difference already in the way my clothes are fitting,” a participant commented. “We’re able to go at our own pace, but the exercises are very doable and the class moves very fast. I never get bored!” exclaimed another.
“I am happy that BCHC’s Wellness Center is able to partner with Fighter Body Fitness allowing for additional high-quality fitness programs to be offered to our community members. I am pleased with the participation and support of this partnership and we plan to continue our relationship with Fighter Body Fitness for as long as it is supported,” CAO, Shelby Medina commented.
By popular demand, Fighterbody Fitness will continue to offer classes at BCHC for another eight week program, March 2nd-April 23rd. Providing hour-long sessions; 6:00am, 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm, Monday through Thursday, each class must have a minimum of six registrants and a maximum of eighteen. Returning participants, Wellness Center members, Corporate Wellness members, and non-members alike are encouraged to participate in this high-energy, result driven program. Each returning program will offer special deals for registrants, including returning participants.
