Independence Schools Partner with BCHC to offer a Concussion Management Program
Attention Mustang Families! The Independence Community School District is partnering with Buchanan County Health Center to provide a concussion management program for students ages 10 and older. An athletic trainer from BCHC will measure your child’s reaction time and accuracy to determine if a concussion has happened in the past, and will provide pre-concussion baseline assessments to aid treatment and post-injury performance. Testing will take place on September 6thfrom 3:30-4:30pm and September 7th from 7-8am at West Elementary. Interested individuals must complete and submit the registration and consent form found in the JR/SR High School and West Elementary main offices, along with a $10 testing fee due during the time of testing.
